Film Spotlight

Today’s highlighted film is Stosstrupp 1917, released in 1934. This was made as an answer to the movie “All Quiet on the Western Front” which the NSDAP saw as effeminizing those who had served in World War 1. This is loosely based on Ernst Jüngers book, “Storm of Steel”, and Zoberlein’s “Der Glaube im Deutschland”, both available in our book section.
